Adnan Saithna

Adnan Saithna is a Sports Injury Knee & Shoulder Surgeon at Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals.

Prior to becoming a Consultant, Mr Saithna’s specialist training included two years at internationally recognized sports injury centres (The Pan Am Clinic, Canada and The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, UK).

He has an extensive peer reviewed publication history and has also won many awards, with his most recent prize being the 2016 British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association Travelling Fellowship Award. This enabled him to visit several world-class sports injury centres and gain further experience of treating professional athletes. This included spending time at the Santy Clinic, which is one of the few FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) designated centres of reference for medical excellence in Europe. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Saithna is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool where he is involved in research that is designed to improve outcomes for patients undergoing orthopaedic surgery, and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Manchester.
